“Poor value for money. I do not recommend it at all.”
Comfortable bed
Our experience at this accommodation was quite disappointing. The main issue was the entrance door from the street: it could only be opened from the inside and had no lock to open it from the outside. Therefore, every time we left, we had to leave it open. If other guests came in or out, it could remain open for quite some time, leaving the rooms practically exposed to the street and reducing privacy and the sense of security. Additionally, the pool and the surrounding area were dirty. We had to explicitly request that they be cleaned, and even then, the overall cleanliness seemed deficient. We booked two rooms, one for me and one for my two daughters, and both had problems with the toilets. In my daughters' room, the toilet was broken and unusable. In mine, the flush button was also broken. We reported the situation and were assured that it would be fixed, but no one came to repair anything during our stay. I also requested a partial refund due to these issues, but received no response. The follow-up was nonexistent, giving the impression that, once the payment was made, there was no interest in addressing guests' complaints. The location is central but also quite noisy, as the accommodation is right in front of a restaurant. At night, we could hear singing, and we also experienced frequent power outages. I understand that these interruptions can occur on an island like Gili Air, but I believe guests should be informed in advance. For the price paid, I expected much higher standards and level of service. I have stayed in cheaper accommodations that offered much more cleanliness, better maintenance, and considerably more attentive service. I left very dissatisfied with the experience and, for all the above reasons, I do not recommend this accommodation.
