ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE — DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE! We strongly DO NOT RECOMMEND Pohon Purba Resort & Restaurant. We made and paid for a confirmed reservation through Booking.com. When we arrived, we were shocked to discover that the property claimed our reservation was no longer valid and refused to provide the rooms we had booked. Even worse, despite the fact that we arrived with a confirmed and paid reservation, they are refusing to refund our money. We were left without accommodation after travelling to the property, with our money still in their hands. This is completely unacceptable and extremely unprofessional. A confirmed reservation should mean exactly that. If the property cannot honour a booking, the least they should do is immediately refund the customer in full. At the end after asking them and manager for giving our money back they gave it back. AVOID THIS PLACE! DO NOT BOOK HERE — YOU RISK ARRIVING WITH NOWHERE TO STAY AND LOSING YOUR MONEY.

“Pretty, but extremely loud and long call to prayers”
Basic, but clean and nice rooms, in very pretty grounds.
The hotel is close to a mosque and had its own mini mosque on the grounds, meaning the call to prayers were the loudest and longest I’ve ever experienced. Felt like the speaker was in my room! Also the breakfast, was the slowest I’ve experienced in many years. Took over 45 minutes for mie goreng despite being the only guests at that moment for breakfast!

“Booked and prepaid, but no room available when I arrived”
I reserved a room and paid through booking.com few days before. When I arrived no one was there, just a bunch of guys hanging out. Then one of them called the owner who simply told me “I’m sorry, there’s no room available”. Never happened before and now I will wait for the refund… hopefully.
