A lovely older style villa with a very nice large swimming pool. Very comfortable and relaxing to listen to the waves rolling in. Staff were exceptionally nice and helpful. Unusually for Bali it was quiet- no barking dogs, trucks or other noise. We would like to come again next year.
It’s a bit dated and the road in is rocky. There are limited restaurants nearby.

The layout of the rooms is illogical; from the living room, you can’t access any other room or the bathroom. The bedroom where my son slept is up a large flight of stairs and, more importantly, on the outside, so during the rainy season it’s awful—you get soaked every time. Another bedroom is in a separate building off the main house, so again, you always get wet. The owner didn’t even let us use the large bedroom on the main terrace upstairs, but that wouldn’t have solved anything, since it’s also accessed from the outside and leads nowhere else. Around the pool, in the overflow area, there are a large number of dead animals that can’t get out, and no one picks them up, even though cleaning takes place there every morning. And be careful—you need to make it very clear when someone is supposed to come clean there. Because waking up with no privacy isn’t ideal when you’re renting a large house specifically for privacy. Otherwise, everything is already quite old and worn out, and unfortunately, the rooms also have a slight odor, like that of elderly people.
