“Exceptional”
We had a wonderful stay at Villa Kombaja; we were greeted by the hosts when we arrived and they also provided us with complimentary drinks. The accommodation was modern, beautiful and very clean. We were pleasantly surprised that the hosts would come daily to check we were ok and would also clean the whole accommodation each day.
The location is a little bit of a distance from Ubud and you need a car to get anywhere. There is not much to walk around to look at directly outside the property.

I stayed at this villa for one week, and unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. The host was very unreliable and often responded very late to messages. Whenever I tried to get in touch, I was repeatedly told to contact the reservations team or the concierge team via WhatsApp, rather than receiving any direct help or answers from the host.
Regarding cleanliness, the host did not prioritize it. The pool wasn’t cleaned once during our entire stay, and when the cleaning staff did come, they usually only did half the job. We had ordered a floating breakfast, and initially, we were told that it was only available for at least four people. So, we went ahead and ordered for four, but it was awful – we couldn’t eat any of it. On the same day, we contacted the host asking for the cleaning staff to come, but when we returned that evening, the floating breakfast was still floating in the pool, and it was unbearably smelly.
On the last day, we asked the host for a late checkout, and his response was, "I really so happy if you are happy to stay in our villa, but so sorry sir, we had next guests which will come at 2 pm, so I only can give you the latest check out at 12.00 noon sir 🙏". However, I checked online and saw that the villa was still available for booking. When I confronted him about this, he said he would speak to the reservations team again, but nothing was done about it.
Based on my experience, I would not recommend this accommodation or anything managed by this host.

“Extraordinary- better than my expectations.”
Very modern. Beautiful, quite exceptional. Everything worked and was easy to use and enjoy. Truly brought us joy and peace.
The gym used by us all as well as the pool - we loved the seperate rooms , air con etc
Beds are harder than we are used too. Not really a complaint - maybe donw the track ?
