Avani Vacation Club is a great property to stay at, particularly because of its excellent location. It is just a five-minute walk from the main areas, including massage centres and restaurants, as well as the popular nightclub La Favela. The room we stayed in was spacious and comfortable, with a separate living room and a kitchenette. The bedroom was lovely, and the swimming pool was a good size.
There were a couple of areas that could be improved. The toilet flush was not working very well, and we encountered a few mosquitoes in the room, which required us to request an additional electric mosquito repellent. One aspect of our stay that left us disappointed was the late check-out request. As our flight was scheduled for late in the evening, we requested a late check-out by a couple of hours. The staff informed us that extending our stay by a couple of hours would incur an additional charge. Since we only needed an extra four hours, we asked if a complimentary late check-out could be considered. At that point, we were told that the room had already been booked for other guests, which seemed contradictory, given that we had initially been informed that a late check-out was possible for an additional fee. We found this response disappointing and felt that the situation could have been handled with greater transparency and consideration.
