Check-in was easy and pleasant. The owner was very friendly and communication worked well. The only downside is the location of the swimming pool and the lack of sun loungers.

All in all, in an absolutely worn-out condition, a lot of money was stolen from our room (!), the owner and manager were not interested in any solution, facilities broken, sink leaking, toilet disgusting, absolutely dark with hardly any light, pool dirty, (green) area partly just dust, no guests in the restaurant or bar, breakfast (Nasi Goreng) tastes mushy like reheated from the day before, a second coffee only available for an extra charge, room full of mosquitoes, minibar empty (empty fridge). A complete modernization has been overdue for at least 10 years. Too bad, as Gili Air is otherwise very beautiful.

“Sweet spot on a beautiful island”
We stayed 10 days at Bulan Madu. It was everything we needed. It is not a 5-star resort, but the bungalows are big, and the manager Adi and the rest of the crew were doing everything to accommodate our needs for more chairs, a small table to build lego on, etc. They serve breakfast a la carte at the tables with the most wonderful view with sunrise over Lombok. Many restaurants just next (try unzipp for fresh fish and manta for tacos or go across the island to mama's pizza for sunset) You can go snorkeling right in front of the hotel (beautiful corals, turtles, and fish). The pool is shared with the diving center but it was no problem using it.
