Generally clean with several guests praising bathrooms and daily housekeeping, though the property shows signs of wear and some facilities (e.g., shower) were reported as poor.
Many staff interactions were helpful and friendly (quick bicycle delivery, polite housekeeping), but service is marred by a severe negative incident involving rude handling of a guest's puppy and some reception/check-in issues.
Excellent location — right across from the beach, minutes from the harbour, restaurants, shops and many guests highlight the convenience and beachfront access.
Spacious bungalows and generally comfortable rooms; some guests loved the large beds while others found beds too firm and noted the property feels a bit tired.
Good on-site amenities like yoga space/classes (though classes were inconsistently held), nearby restaurant options and bike support; Wi-Fi is unreliable which reduces the amenity score.
Perceived as good value by multiple guests (headline praise for value for money and repeat recommendations).
On-site dining is limited in reviews, but neighbouring Banyan Tree restaurant received strong praise and there are many nearby F&B options.
Overall a positive stay for many (great location, friendly staff in most cases, comfortable bungalows), tempered by recurring issues: poor Wi‑Fi, occasional noise from bars or nearby mosque, and one notable negative staff incident.

Perfect location being on the road that surrounds the island and in the most frequented area. Very, very kind and friendly staff

After getting off the boat, you can easily reach the facility with your belongings without getting too tired. The rooms are bungalows, with a semi-open toilet-bathroom at the back. Since it is a small business, you don't have much to do with the staff. If you just come to sleep, and want everything to be around you when you step out of the hotel, and want the place where you sleep to be clean, it is a very good choice for the price.
Although there is a pool, it is not the kind that is used much. Besides, it doesn't make sense to swim in the hotel pool when you go to Gili Island. There are many snorkeling tours at affordable prices across the hotel. Go snorkel in the places Forbes calls number 1 beaches.

The local staff were really nice, friendly, helpful, polite, and welcoming. I was doing some stretching in my room and a staff member must have seen me because he turned up with a yoga mat for me to borrow. Very sweet. I also forgot my swimwear and a lovely local lady came running out to bring them to me. There's a fantastic little cafe right out front that makes good coffee and really yummy chia puddings.
The shower kept going hot and cold constantly with the water pressure fluctuating. I was looking for a staff member to rent some freediver fins and a weight belt to practice my freediving while there weren't people learning in the pool. One of the foreign workers told me that I can't rent a weight belt on the Gilis or practice freediving without a buddy, and that I'd have to wait until 6 pm when the lady was there to supervise. I had a buddy, I'm already a certified freediver and a scuba instructor, and well aware of the rules of diving. I found her quite rude in the way she spoke.
