Mixed cleanliness: several mentions of unpleasant bathroom odor (sewer), occasional animals entering rooms/bathrooms and high chlorine in the pool affecting swimsuits; otherwise generally acceptable.
Outstanding staff repeatedly praised across reviews as attentive, very helpful and caring, with specific mentions of excellent welcome, transfers to the restaurant and attentive care when guests were ill.
Excellent scenic, peaceful location with great jungle/valley views; repeatedly noted as tranquil but somewhat remote requiring taxis/transfers to town or the restaurant.
Rooms described as spacious and charming/rustic with good equipment, but some downsides: thin walls reducing privacy, occasional odd shower setup and an extra bed mattress on the floor in one report.
Good amenities: attractive pool with views, pleasant breakfast area, spa/massage praised; drawbacks include pool chlorine issues, limited sunbeds and the restaurant being off-site requiring transfers.
Generally seen as very good value: guests recommend the stay, many would return and describe the experience as memorable and worth it despite minor issues.
Food generally well regarded (several positive mentions), though some negative notes: one undercooked chicken incident and several comments about unsatisfactory mocktails/smoothies and limited cocktails availability.
Strongly positive overall: many guests describe a relaxing, charming stay with excellent service and lovely surroundings; a few logistical and minor comfort issues do not outweigh overall satisfaction.

We enjoyed the calm, the green environment, the choice of materials (stone or wood) of the different chalets, and especially the friendliness of the staff. Excellent breakfasts and dining.

The facilities are wonderful. The pool and its views are great. The Javanese houses where you sleep are charming and the bed is very comfortable. The resort staff is a 10 in every way, friendly, helpful, courteous, easy for any management, and very efficient and fast communication via WhatsApp. Fantastic breakfast.
Perhaps the shower could be improved a bit, water pressure is weak.
