“Very friendly to tourists”
We had a double room with a private bathroom, which was clean and in good condition (for Indonesia). So you could shower and sleep well, nicely cooled too. Apart from the beds, there was nothing else in the room. It would be a good idea to set up a shelf. It would be really tight for a chair. The kitchen downstairs had two bad days, sometimes the drain was blocked, sometimes the faucet was broken. Even the water dispenser was broken - it was being worked on - we bought water. I don't know if this is always the case, of course. The fridge and kettle worked well. Good Wi-Fi. And we ate at the Batavia canteen (recommended! many small stalls). Great location, 200 m to the train station, right at Fatahillah Square, the center of old Batavia.
Check-in somewhat complicated, long and somewhat off-putting, the breakfast restaurant also did not convince us.
