“I had a fantastic stay here recharging and renewing my energy and I am eternally grateful. I will be back.”
The property is pristine, an incredibly tranquil place with a beautiful tropical garden right in the centre. There is plenty of outdoor seating available and two platforms for yoga overlooking the beautiful Balian Sea. The sunrises here are UNREAL! The rooms are tastefully designed and decorated and feel luxurious without the big price tag! The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to accommodate and meet any of your needs at a moments notice. I had an issue with a very loud neighbour my first night and the staff provided me earplugs and upgraded my room at no extra cost as a courtesy. They also helped me with transport from West Bali and with hiring a scooter for my use while in Tejakula. The property has a restaurant on-site that serves a buffet breakfast, and they go out of their way to meet dietary restrictions such as dairy free and gluten free. The pool area is quiet and has many sun loungers. There is also a meditation room used for retreats and a spa. I had the best massage of my life at the spa - be prepared though, when they say full body, they mean FULL body. Overall I enjoyed my stay at Cili Emas and I will certainly be returning.
The location is very isolated which depending on what you’re looking for, may be a bonus or a drawback. A scooter rental is essential if you want to venture into town to see more of Tejakula. The menu at the restaurant is limited in regard to vegetarian diets. They serve a daily buffet breakfast that is very basic, but they offer pancakes and eggs cooked on request as well (including gluten free). Their à la carte dinner menu had only one dish that I could eat as a vegetarian. They offer a 3 course set dinner menu for guests every night, but these always had a meat of some kind included so I never ordered it. Having a vegetarian option would be a suggestion!
