Ngurah and his family were very kind to me in my stay at their home. My first night they invited me to a special ceremony at the temple that included music and dancing. My room was private and clean with a working bathroom. Breakfast was served for me on the porch; this felt very luxurious because the property has many beautiful plants and animals to observe while you eat. I think what I liked most was that it was so very quiet but still walking distance to all the good places like the monkey forest and restaurants. My favorite was Sayuri Healing Foods (a vegan restaurant with live music). Ngurah was very kind to give me a tour of some interesting places like a coffee plantation, silver jewelry maker, and wood carver. At the end of my stay, he helped arrange transportation to the Gili Islands and made sure that I got a great price. I was sad to leave; next time I will stay longer.
