Definitely doesn’t feel like a 4-star hotel. The rooms feel ancient and not very clean. The water pressure in the shower was very weak and the water wasn’t very warm. Not worth the price

Multiple reviews report strong mould/musty and sewage smells, stains on bathrobes/linens and limited ventilation (windows that don't open), indicating below‑average cleanliness despite some rooms being acceptable.
Staff repeatedly described as friendly and helpful: they changed rooms when asked, prepared early‑morning food boxes and assisted guests — overall service is a clear strength.
Location is consistently praised as excellent and very convenient (about a 10‑minute walk to Ubud Palace, many cafes/restaurants nearby); this is one of the strongest positives.
Rooms are functional and meet basic needs for many guests but several reports cite tiny rooms, bad bathroom odours, and privacy issues (transparent glass doors), so room quality is mixed.
Amenities exist (pool, gym) but guests report issues: pool often cold and shaded with few sunbeds, and the gym is very small — usable but not outstanding.
Some guests feel the hotel is expensive for what it offers and experienced slow refund handling; others found it acceptable given location and service, so perceived value is slightly above average after balancing opinions.
Breakfast is generally noted as good with a reasonable spread and occasional helpful service (food boxes), though a few reviews call the food mediocre or request more options.
Overall impressions are mixed but tend positive for guests who did not encounter severe odour problems: excellent location and strong service produce comfortable stays for many, though persistent cleanliness/ventilation issues significantly impact others.

We were warmly welcomed by staff who were all so very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. It was close enough for us to walk to the main attractions in the city centre. Drivers also liked it because they didn't have to sit in as much traffic. The drinking water refill stations were fantastic. This is the only hotel we'd been to in Bali with free drinking water readily available for guests. And there was a refill station on each floor. The beds were comfortable. Plus there was an option to request an orthopaedic pillow. The pool was a lovely cool temperature, with extra towels readily available. It was also easy to get in and out of. Plus there was a poolside changing room with a toilet and shower. The restaurant was nice with a good variety of options. The spa rooms were clean, calming and relaxing with soundproof treatment rooms. The laundry service was good/quick. The housekeeping service was good/efficient.
One of our rooms smelt damp and musty but housekeeping tried their best to freshen the air. Sometimes you could hear the people moving around in the rooms above. The toilet in one of our rooms just kept running (water leaking into the bowl), even after they tried to fix it. The restaurant was a bit pricey. You can get bigger portions for considerably less money, just a short walk away.

All great Except, one big thing - cramped too many rooms room but connected to many other rooms, even if your neighbor flushes the toilet, you hear in the night, some opposite rooms have got a balcony and table and chairs, people discussing can be heard, voice amplification disturbs the sleep. Rest is all great with the hotel
Too many rooms in lotus flower circled structure mannet
