“I expected more from this accommodation.”
The location, the pool, and breakfast on the beach. The location is good, at turtle Point, about a 15-minute walk from the harbor, without noise from the harbor or mosques. You can easily carry your suitcases along the main street, without needing to use the poor horses. The pool is much better than in the photos. There are two: one in the front (somewhat more neglected) and the back one, which, although the same as the other, is much better maintained and clean. Breakfast on the beach at the restaurant is another strong point, with quite a variety, as they offer options like yogurt, muesli, granola... (not just scrambled eggs). and with some warm croissants as a courtesy. The beach in Gili is not ideal for swimming, as it is difficult to enter, but right at that point, you can snorkel well. Within 5 minutes, we already saw our first huge turtle...
Run-down facilities, regular cleaning. Low value for money compared to other accommodations in Indonesia (more than 50 eur/night). The worst part is definitely that the rooms are very neglected and not very clean. The bathroom looks like a pool changing room, covered in tiles, with the sink near the toilet and the shower, all quite dirty, with mold, but practical for the sand and not spending too much time. They do not clean the rooms daily or change sheets and towels, at least not automatically. We stayed only 3 nights, so we didn't need it either... Another very negative point is that the curtains that block the light barely cover the glass door at the entrance and when it dawns, which is quite early, it shines right in your face... I expected more from this accommodation.

Excellent location and fantastic staff, always with a smile and always very helpful
The entrance of the structure was not the most welcoming, and a bit more work could be done on maintenance
