"3 nights East Coast Bali" was the requirement we had in mind. But only in the morning did we come to book: KEBUN IMPIAN. After a 4-hour drive, the first surprise: we are personally greeted by Yanti and John and shown around the small resort. A quick look at the two spacious rooms and the adjoining bathrooms - each slightly different but appealingly designed. Then a walk through the well-kept garden with small and large seating areas until we reach the pool, where we are not quite sure whether to immediately lie down on a sun lounger or sit under one of the pagodas and watch the sea just 10 m away. Just: Wow! But it gets even better: In the open restaurant area, we are served (a la carte) a fine dinner, both in taste and appearance. But the highlight of the surprises are the many wonderful tips, background information, and conversations with Yanti or John - most impressively early in the morning when the sun rises over the sea and the day does not yet know what it will bring from what is possible in the nearby and wider surroundings in the still largely original Bali. A stay with John and Yanti is something extraordinary. Not everything smoothed out in the touristy uniform chic, but real, competent, delicious, warm, and all placed in a wonderfully peaceful location. It's a pity that it is so far away from Germany. We would come at least twice a year.
