The hotel is centrally located and is housed in a beautiful old building with lots of flair and pleasantly high ceilings. We were given an Executive room, which was exceptionally large and spacious. However, the entire hotel complex is also very large. As a result, the property felt more like a classic hotel of an international chain to me rather than a personal boutique hotel. The breakfast is officially served from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. However, during our visit, parts of the buffet were already being cleared by 10:00 a.m., which I found unusual and disturbing. Also, the selection and quality of the buffet did not quite meet my expectations for a hotel of this category. I would like to highlight the option to additionally order dishes a la carte, which were plentiful and tasty. Highly recommended is the rooftop bar. The view over Jakarta is excellent, especially at dusk and after dark. A visit is definitely worthwhile for a cocktail, although the prices are roughly at European levels. We found it unpleasant that the padded headboard of our bed had visible stains, which should not occur in a hotel of this category in my opinion. Overall, the stay had some positive aspects, especially the spacious room, the historic building, and the rooftop bar. However, due to the size, the rather impersonal atmosphere for me, the breakfast experience, and the condition of the headboard, I would not book the hotel again for another stay in Jakarta.

Very spacious rooms. Extremely friendly staff and good service during breakfast. Dirty plates were quickly picked up.
The only downside was that there were no balconies in the rooms. Otherwise, I think it's quite pricey for Indonesia.
