Generally reported as clean with spacious rooms and nice bathrooms, but isolated issues noted (stained sheets not always changed; occasional bugs entering from semi-open bathrooms).
Consistently praised: staff described as very friendly, warm and helpful (arranged drivers, resolved gluten‑free request after complaint, attentive welcome and assistance).
Very convenient — short walk to the centre and quiet despite a nearby busy road; one-way streets can lengthen return trips and there is an occasional nearby construction site that can affect sleep.
Rooms described as spacious with nice bathrooms, but some negatives: beds considered too hard by several guests, semi-open bathrooms with step into shower, safety/bug concerns and some linen stains reported.
Attractive grounds, two small pools, spa and massage offerings are strengths; however, some practical amenities are missing or lacking (no microwave/cutlery, no bug spray, slow Wi‑Fi).
Multiple guests felt the property represented good value overall (pleasant setting, pools, service), though some caveats (mediocre paid breakfast, issues that limit longer stays) were noted.
Repeated criticism of breakfast: limited choices, no buffet, mediocre quality; gluten‑free request initially unmet (later resolved), overall F&B seen as a weak point.
Charming, peaceful property with lovely grounds and very welcoming staff delivering a largely positive stay; important negatives (construction noise affecting sleep, accessibility issues, some room/amenity problems) reduced an otherwise strong experience.

Room 310 didn’t have the overhead shower. The hand held shower position was way too low. Just a touch annoying. Being on a 1 way road for busy part of a day made waiting for a bluebird a long wait, around 20 mins if they were coming from Ubud town area.

The staff is incredible The location is fantastic, I was able to walk to restaurants and markets. Staff was incredibly helpful and kind. I love that it makes you feel like you’re in the middle of the jungle. The room was very clean and air-conditioned
