“Not recommended although potential with necessary attention”
Having the idea of your own space (kitchen, dining table, etc) is very nice, but the actual implementation was disappointing. Breakfast is neatly arranged. It is brought to the door and looks well taken care of. You cannot choose, but get what is served. There is a large container with a "main course" and besides that, we received fruit, a dessert, and a large jug of drink.
Unfortunately, there were many mosquitoes in the rooms. The door to the outside has significant gaps, so there is no way to keep those mosquitoes out. Electric fly swatter not available, so we slept in a mosquito net (brought by ourselves). We found hairs in the sinks, pubic hair on the toilet paper holder, stains on the toilets, so we cleaned all of this ourselves. Then we found cockroaches, hairs in the bed, stains on the bedding. After we reported this from the beds, they were all changed, which was nice. We stayed here for two nights. Showered both evenings and then in one room, the sewer smell was unbearable. They solve this by masking it with mothballs. This is a problem that needs to be addressed more systematically. All in all, we paid quite a bit of money for a not so pleasant stay, glad it was only for two nights. In the end, the accommodation has potential if it is cleaned well and renovated in some areas. Tips: make sure doors close properly. A minor thing, provide an electric fly swatter for quite a few mosquitoes. Hang curtains at the right height and ensure a room can be well darkened. Remove stains from the dining chairs with a steam cleaner. A small apartment (as you have thought of) is actually a nice idea. And you set various rules (rightly) for tourists to follow, but they should at least expect a clean accommodation!
