“Location good but no privacy”
Great location
-each room had its own entry not like a western house. We didn’t feel comfortable leaving our young child in another room which could be accessed externally (2 rooms downstairs, one up) -lack of privacy. We had 3 hours of gardening done one day. It was unexpected and poorly communicated. Not what you want while sitting by villa pool. -the next day I was asked to unlock the villa gate for the ceremony. When I questioned this and said no because I’m going out, I was told that’s ok they’ll come unlock the gate themselves. I understand ceremonies are part of Balinese culture but we had paid for the villa and its backyard. I didn’t feel comfortable with people being in the space while renting it. -we had the property till 12pm checkout time. The cleaner turned up at 10am on checkout day and started cleaning for the next guests (kitchen, other bedroom etc). Despite me telling her our driver wasn’t picking us up until 12.
