“Uninviting and not what we had booked.”
We did not stay at the property as when we arrived they had a large group staying and were not at all welcoming. It took quite a few minutes before anyone attended to us, and we soon found out that the room we were supposed to have had been given to some of the people from the group.
When we were finally shown to our room it was not the seafront room we had booked and even worse, there was building going on right next to our villa, a car parked directly in front as well as mounds of building materials and bricks and 3 builders walking backwards and forwards loading wheelbarrows full of bricks right in front of our room. Even though the owner refunded our money, we should have been informed well in advance that these renovations were being done to allow us time to book somewhere else. To wait until we arrived to find out was unacceptable and left us to try and find alternative accommodation at very short notice.
