Hotel with potential
Everything is outdated. Room was dirty and not cleaned beforehand. Staff doesn't speak English and is not willing to change that. No opportunity for snorkeling or diving. What is provided is broken and dirty.

The setup of the park, the staff in collaboration with the local youth who have access to the park by the owner, is truly fantastic. Of course, the park is a bit outdated when it comes to the rooms, however, for peace or even entertainment, you are in the right place at Mooipark. You hardly use the rooms (only for your night's rest and that's just fine) as well as reasonably good beds. If you want to experience the mainland of Papua, you are in the right place at Mooipark, with a lot of local people who welcome you with open arms and are not pushy at all.
I have been to many expensive luxury resorts worldwide as well as cheap primitive homestays in Raja Ampat. But we have returned to Mooipark once and it will not be missing in the future when we go back to Raja Ampat. The love we received from the employees and local youth as well as the kind owner exceeded our expectations, so nothing disappointed us.

The local population walking around the park and the employees. You can see and feel that the owner cares about his staff and the local population. The love and joy that people radiate is immense. Plenty of activities to do if needed, but peace can also be found. We ended up here at the beginning of the journey through Raja Ampat and as a conclusion of our trip, we agreed that we had to go back to MOOIPARK and even stay for several days now.

Park
Terrible moldy room. Noisy neighbors. During the night hours, they loudly listened to music, cooked, etc.
