A fabulous place to stay in Ubud! The rooms were clean, light and well laid out, and the outdoor space so pretty and relaxing. Breakfasts were plentiful and delicious, the best nasi goreng of the trip. The location was peaceful but just a short walk into town and there are several warungs nearby. But what makes Danu House really stand out is the kindness of the hosts. My elderly Mum had an accident early in our stay and fractured her ankle and Mita and Kadek and their lovely family took the best care of us - staying with us at the hospital, bringing us meals, making up a room for Mum downstairs, driving us everywhere...I can't even describe the lengths they have gone to to help us enjoy the rest of our trip. If you are looking for a lovely place to stay in Ubud, where you can meet a wonderful Balinese family and see a slice of Balinese life, you can't go past Danu House. We will be forever grateful to Mita and Kadek and will definitely be visiting them again.

We came with two daughters aged 6 and 1, so the peace in bustling Ubud and the cleanliness of the house were very welcome. Mita and her husband Kadek were very friendly and did everything to make us feel comfortable. It was very special to stay with them and their family. As if you were part of their 'family village' and it's nice to come into contact with the local population in this way. The house was well insulated by Balinese standards and comfortable for us, so we had good nights' sleep. Our daughters also enjoyed feeding the fish and playing outside on the premises.
Nothing.

We were welcomed beyond measure. The accommodation simply exceeded our expectations. A beautiful house with a private pool and so much space for us as a family with two children. It was extremely clean and the breakfast selection and preparation were excellent. For us, it was a special highlight that the house is located on the family's property. This way, you also experience the culture and life on site much closer. We experienced incredible service. Every wish was anticipated. Even fresh coconut for breakfast. We also took a guided tour with Kadek, Mita's husband. He took us to a temple where we could participate in a ritual. Through the family, we were able to book tickets for the weekly Kecak dance around the corner. The location is quiet, yet very central. Restaurants, the Ubud market with many stalls, a drugstore, banks, and supermarkets are within walking distance. We thank Mita and her family from the bottom of our hearts for this unforgettable time and hope to return.
Nothing at all. It was perfect.
