We had an excellent stay. Having been right in the middle of a number cities in Indonesia it was nice to be on the urban edge for a change. I also had my best sleeps of the journey so far. If you get a chance definitely try some Ibu's home cooking.
I didn't find any real problems.

I was allowed to check in early. Purified water was provided. Very private space and comfortable. Kitchen well stocked. Mostly quiet except...see below. Nice family management. They have a beautiful patio area.
A marching band would practice starting at 7am on the occasional morning. A fast beetle lived under my bed but it is the tropics.

We loved the atmosphere on our terrace and in the joglo - the fruit trees, the lizards, the birds. But most of all, we loved the hospitality and helpfulness of the family. We felt spoiled by them. We couldn't talk much because we don't speak Indonesian very well, but it was super reassuring that we could text with the son who answered super quickly when we needed answers, when we needed to order breakfast or other things. (By the way, it was the best nasi goreng we have tasted in Indonesia so far!) A little bonus is that the flight school's marching band practiced their routines near the house several afternoons. It was a free show and a great experience to see!! The area is also nice for morning walks and the locals are so sweet. We could wash at a laundry a little further down the road, but the hosts also offer a cheap laundry service.
