“Overall, we had a good stay, but there are a few important things to be aware of.”
- The location was good – it felt close to everything we needed. - The kitchen had new equipment (big fridge, microwave, stove), which was really nice and everything worked very well. It was also very clean. - Overall, the kitchen was well equipped – we had everything we needed to prepare breakfasts and even dinners on some days. - The beds were very comfortable and big. - The cleaning lady did a really good job every time. However, it was mentioned that cleaning would happen twice a week, but it only happened once a week. - The WiFi worked well throughout our stay. - The seating area was very nice and comfortable, perfect for just relaxing. - A small detail, but appreciated – there was a big mirror in the living room, not just small mirrors in the bathroom.
There were a few things that negatively affected our stay: - The water pressure was almost non-existent. We even tried cleaning the shower head ourselves, but it didn’t help. In the end, we had to use just the hose without the shower head because it was impossible to properly wash off shampoo or shower gel. It was similar in one of the bathroom sinks and also in the kitchen sink. - The accommodation is in an area where there are regular prayers (just something to be aware of if you’re not Muslim). The prayers were quite loud and woke us up a few nights – even with earplugs, it was still noticeable. - The pool itself was nice, but there’s no seating outside, so we barely used it. Also, the outdoor shower didn’t work at all. - One night there was a very strong storm and the accommodation got flooded. We messaged the owner asking if cleaning could be arranged (since there was dirt from outside), but didn’t get any response, so we had to clean it ourselves. - The lighting overall wasn’t great. After sunset it was quite dark inside, which is important to consider if you need to work – there was no proper light in the room with the table. - It might be good to mention (as it’s not visible in the pictures) that one of the rooms doesn’t have a regular window, only a covered ceiling window, so the room is quite dark. - Some of the electrical sockets didn’t work. - The pillows were mouldy, but I understand this might be quite common in Bali.
