Toraja Bambu is wonderfully located. With a short walk or scooter ride, you are right in the heart of bustling Uluwatu. The locations are beautifully styled, but the quality leaves something to be desired.
We look back on our stay at Toraja Bambu with mixed feelings. The reception upon arrival was warm and cordial. But immediately after check-in, various things caught our attention, causing the initial wow factor to quickly give way to disappointment. The overall impression was that the house was more of an Instagram photoshoot location than a villa to truly use and stay in for a week. The exterior looks nice but does not align with the quality. Various facilities as presented online were not available or defective. In consultation with the manager, we expressed our disappointment and were offered another accommodation within the complex (Tangerine Dream). This place was more comfortable and of better quality. There was also much more privacy than in Blueberry, as you share the pool there with another house - only separated by a curtain of shells. What left a bitter taste in the stay was that the once friendly and helpful team did not respond to our request for a suitable financial compensation. Tangerine Dream, the alternative location, is advertised at a lower price, but despite repeated attempts to reach a suitable resolution, no response was given.
