“The best Homestay of the 4 we stayed at in Raja Ampat”
The best Homestay of the four we stayed at in Raja Ampat. It's more of an accommodation than a family itself, when we found out we didn't like it, but it was perfect. The whole area is very well-kept, the sand is raked every day, they provide a snack at 5 p.m. Crossing the island a 10-minute walk away, there is an incredible crystal clear water beach. Our guide Vence helped us with everything, both with excursions and transfers, and providing us with a cork box (as a cooler) and taking us to buy ice at the Village on the opposite island. They even managed to get us beers from a local (very expensive, 100k each). It's important to know that there are no rats roaming the room on this island, which is important for rest.
Mobile data is very limited, enough for writing on WhatsApp, checking something on Google Maps, impossible to post videos on WhatsApp or Instagram Stories (which is not a big deal but good to know). Across the promenade on the other side of the island, there is slightly better internet.
