“Horrible experience.”
The only reason we booked this apartment was because our son was renting an apartment in the same building for his studies at Jakarta University, and it was convenient for us to do sightseeing tours together from there. It is also located in South Jakarta, which has very few tourist attractions, but again, it was convenient as it was in the same building where our son was staying.
It was very difficult to get confirmation as you need to register through the Indonesian app from Travelio.com, which is hard to work with unless you speak Bahasa Indonesia. Eventually, we were able to get in contact with the person who was bringing the key to the apartment. On the second night, the electricity meter started to make an annoying alarm and shut off all power. We were able to get the power back on, but the alarm didn't stop. From our son, we knew this would happen when the electricity bill hadn't been paid. We were not able to contact anyone, neither the person delivering the key nor at Travelio. The security guard was not able to help us either. Another thing is that there are 5 or 6 mosques in the neighborhood, with one right next door. At 4:30 AM, all the mosques started their prayers through loudspeakers on the roof very loudly. It's like they are in a competition to generate the biggest sound volume above the others, but I think nobody can hear the prayers individually. The last thing is that we had to pay a deposit that we should have received back by now, but that's not the case, so they still owe me money.
