“A tranquil escape in Ubud 🌳”
The view out over the rice paddies was beautiful, and we loved how secluded and peaceful the villa felt, completely surrounded by nature, yet still within easy reach of everything you’d want to explore in Ubud. The outdoor shower was incredible, as was the bath, and the villa was cleaned every day. We were so well looked after by everyone on the estate throughout our stay. We stayed as a family of four and it was perfect for us, but it would be equally beautiful for a couple looking for a tranquil Ubud escape. The kitchen was also really well equipped, so we cooked a few evenings and genuinely felt at home. A beautiful little escape from the busyness of Ubud. Fantastic stay and highly recommend.

The rose moon villa is a magical place especially the terrace facing the rice paddies and the bathroom under the stars. It is true to the pictures. The staff was very reactive and helpful. It is a peaceful heaven. There was a power failure when we were there so the staff moved us to an even larger villa with large private pool. We highly recommend this place.

“Tourist trap! Something fishy!”
I stayed at Desa Bulan, this accommodation complex, with now “Rose Moon” included, 13/14 years ago. It was a dream, but i geus the dream is over..
*booked 14.00, official check in 15.00, arrived 16.45 and could not check in. We had to wait for the staff to come to the villa, then we had to wait for a clean. We waited at the car park bench untill 18.30 *first impression: old, outdated, incorrect or no maintenance for years. Damp mold walls everywhere, especially next to the bed and shower. Unhealthy and smelly. Leaving white powder marks on our clothing *dirty! Was scared to touch anything. Ribbed soft fabrics everywhere, full of stains and felt sticky. Many decorative pillows on the bed, they were white a long time ago. Damp smelly bed sheets, insect droppings under the pillows? The sheets were there for a while.. Scared of bed bugs, even more scared to check the mattress. I don’t even want to mention the bath *no more free view. They build a wall around the complex, protect from flooding or so.. But the free feeling, to be in the middle of the rice fields is gone. No more view from the pool, and no more view from the lounge bed (Wich was wrapped in bed sheets, come on, just buy a new one). Stare at a wall all day. You can sit on a high wooden stool, try for ten minutes, not so comfortable. And even if you can handle, they build like ten other villa’s, so you can stare at their guest all day *overpriced, overpriced! A clean bed in a healthy environment is basic, this villa doesent even have that. Oh, and breakfast was also not included!

I liked everything! The atmosphere was like home. The staff was friendly, they prepared a delicious breakfast, and they were always happy to help. The attitude was kind and unobtrusive. The accommodation was clean, cozy, and comfortable. The location was quiet and slightly remote from Ubud. I'll note that the shops are located a bit far away. But, we are by car and there was no problem with it. A bike or a car is needed.
Everything is at a decent level, from the heart!
