It's quiet, close to lively streets, close to Warung, the small terrace is nice. The room is cool.
The bathroom is really not clean.

Located within a few minutes of some great eateries and other hostels.
Felt it was expensive for what it was. $30nzd for a private room or $18nzd for a dorm. Ended up going to the hostel next door to use the facilities. Toilet without a lock, shower broken, no introduction or explanation of the facilities on arrival, wifi inconsistent, room dingy. Staff very quiet or uncommunicative. For the same rates you can access far superior facilities at surrounding hostels or in town for a similar price or less.

The location is really good, has 2 affordable Warungs right across the street and the best thing of this hostel is you can use the common areas of Pipes (the hostel next door which is an amazing place to hang out and socialize. Furthermore Anjani is a super simple hostel, doesn’t have much because doesn’t need more.
Sometimes the bathroom was smelly from the sewer. Right next to the hostel there’s a dry river which is dirty.

I really liked the accommodation - clean and well-maintained, with lockers for valuables. The beds were large, comfortable and clean, with enough storage space for small items (medicines, phone, charger) as well as curtains for some privacy. The shower was clean (although only cold water). There was a nice social space with hammocks, yoga mat, chessboard and books for chilling or reading. The staff was very friendly and helpful - you could rent scooters and get recommendations for surf courses at Kuta Beach. Ali at the reception was particularly nice and even gave us small bracelets. Even though we only stayed one night, we were allowed to leave our backpacks there during the day, which was very convenient. Nearby there were also many nice restaurants and cafes. The hostel also organized transport to the next hostel for us.
The shower in our room unfortunately smelled strongly of urine. You had to ask for towels separately, which was not a big problem. The organization of the driver for the onward journey was a bit confusing - here I would recommend that as a guest, you should directly coordinate with the driver again if the hostel organizes one.
