I really liked having a private saltwater pool, the bed was comfortable, and we never ran out of drinking water or water for brushing our teeth. The breakfasts were also very good, you could choose two dishes and then there was a small buffet with toast, fresh juices, coffee, tea, yogurt, fruit, granola, homemade jam... and the staff was very nice. The last night we had dinner at the hotel and it was also very good, although much more expensive than in other local restaurants. I must also mention that the portions were very large! We ate a lot and it was delicious. They have a barbecue, which is a plus! Just when I was there and wanted to try lobster, they didn't have any, a shame, but the prawns I ordered were delicious. I asked for a quiet room and they gave us the farthest one, thank you! Stepping out of the villa and seeing the sea in the background is amazing. We asked for the horse carriage to go back to the port and they packed us a delicious takeaway breakfast just like the one served at the hotel.
The villa looks bigger in the photos, but it's quite small. The pool doesn't have any access stairs and is a bit too deep. I had to step down by putting my foot on the seating area and because it's so low, I hurt myself a bit. I didn't like that the only option was to take a horse-drawn carriage when you have luggage; those horses won't stop all day, and it's sad. This is something about Gili Meno in general, not the hotel. The hotel beach is not suitable for swimming, there are many rocks, and you have to walk a while to find areas to swim. At night, you can hear all the music from the nightclubs on Gili T, the island across. They know this and provide earplugs, a nice touch. Still, if you want to sleep without earplugs, I would go to the other side of the island. We didn't run out of water for showering, but we were warned that it could happen and we might have to use saltwater due to the island's supply issues. Still, they offer to bring freshwater jugs if you prefer not to use saltwater. We didn't use the hotel pool, but the water seemed a bit cloudy.
