On a positive note, the breakfast is genuinely one of the best I’ve had at a hotel or even in cafes.
I have stayed at this hotel before and genuinely loved it, which is why I’m leaving this review. I also raised the issue in person first, hoping it could be addressed directly, but unfortunately it was not taken seriously. During this stay, my room was full of mosquitoes — I counted at least 20 inside, on top of the large number around the garden that were getting in. I spent the entire night trying to deal with them and eventually had to wake up at 4am to ask the security guard for mosquito spray because I simply couldn’t sleep. The poor man even lent me his own. The next day, I spoke to the supervisor. I didn’t want to complain about things like noise, as I understand some things are outside the hotel’s control. The mosquito problem is different: it is manageable and directly affects a guest’s ability to sleep. I was told that housekeeping had forgotten to put mosquito spray in the room. However, my mother’s room didn’t have any either, so this doesn’t seem to have been an isolated mistake. What disappointed me most was the response from upper management. I was told there was no solution because the room rate we paid was already cheap. This is not about the price or asking for a discount. I simply expected acknowledgement that a room with 20+ mosquitoes is not an acceptable sleeping condition, together with some reassurance that the issue would be addressed. There are simple solutions: regular mosquito treatment of the garden, repellent for guests, mosquito spray in every room, and proper checks before guests arrive. I genuinely liked this hotel and would like to come back, which is why I’m giving this feedback. I hope management takes it seriously rather than dismissing it.
