“Good value for money”
Room located inside a private house divided into two areas: the owner's house at the entrance and the rooms in a structure located behind on the first floor. Large room equipped with a fan and sink in the room. Excellent Indonesian breakfast prepared by the owner (we only had it one morning as the next we had booked the sunrise visit to Borobodur)
The sink was very small and not very clean, also the mirror light was not working. The structure is a bit out of the center and reaching Jl Malioboro takes a 20-minute walk at a brisk pace

“Disappointed”
The family hosting you is kind (wouldn't call them a 'staff' however). They rented us a scooter for a day (100k rp). The breakfast is prepared every morning and consists of typical Indonesian dishes plus coffee/tea (however you cannot choose). The location is quite central.
The room was in bad conditions: dirty and dusty, with old facilities and really small. There was very little light coming in, and it was also difficult to ventilate the room, which always felt unhealthy (for instance, the floor of the bathroom would never dry). There is no hot water for the shower.
