We cannot evaluate because our reservation was canceled an hour before the scheduled check-in.
We booked a villa for 6 people in November 2025. With full payment for a week in February 2026. On the way to the villa and before check-in, we received a message from the villa owner that due to technical difficulties, they cannot accommodate us.

Nice environment. Great optional floating breakfast. Effort to solve the situation if we needed something. The owner sent us food - lunch, as breakfast was weaker.
Weak breakfast. There was no bread for breakfast. I recommend taking a photo of the breakfast menu so that the customer knows what they are ordering. We were disappointed with the breakfast.

I loved everything about it. The view was perfect, the staff was very friendly, and the bathroom was really special. I will come back here soon.

Only location.
If you expect peace, rest, and basic respect for guests in Ubud, this property should be avoided. Our stay at Masakali Retreat was one of the most stressful hotel experiences we have had, entirely due to extremely poor management and unacceptable behavior from the property owner.
