The whole stay was a lovely experience, the family that runs the homestay are absolutely amazing and made the stay 100 times better. It was my birthday the day I arrived and they insisted on a birthday dinner with their family which they hosted, which was really special. The whole time they were always available to talk, give advice, or help in any way. The mother is a great cook and provides breakfast and also lunch or dinner if you would like. I rented a scooter with them which was a good price and also did a tour through them. (This did seem a little bit more expensive than other options I saw but was still a great time) would 100% stay with them again.
Not really any negatives about the place, the only thing being the bathroom facilities were very basic (no hot water, not a flushing toilet) but this is all part of it and I wouldn’t change a thing. However good to know before coming

We had an incredible stay. Niki’s father showed us around the area surrounding their home. The next day, Niki introduced us to Tetebatu and Sasak culture during a day trip he had organized from start to finish. He serves excellent, authentic dishes. We highly recommend staying there for several nights.

It is a beautiful location, with a magnificent view. The huts are also nice, with basic sanitary facilities but that is what you pay for. Nice that you can eat at the homestay!
Because I was sick, I wanted to go to my next destination a day earlier, where my friends were at that time. I had arranged a driver to take me. When he arrived, the older man from the homestay came to me saying that I had to pay him money, as a commission... when I refused, he said he would follow us until I went to an ATM so I could give him money. I found this very unpleasant, and even felt a little unsafe. He also wanted to take me on a tour around the neighborhood/Lombok. But this would cost 300 US dollars. I have the impression that he was very money-oriented. This, by the way, says nothing about their son, Niki. He welcomed me very pleasantly. But because I was very sick, I did not see him anymore.
