A small family guesthouse, all surrounded by greenery. The entire staff is the guesthouse owner and his family. They get '5 points'. Before checking in, I read in the reviews that they (the owner's family) are kind and welcoming. Everything was just as described. I would be happy to stay with them again if the opportunity arises.
Slightly 'tired' rooms (but it's understandable, this is not a hotel, it's a 'family' guesthouse), basic breakfasts (but considering the cost, everything is good).

The guesthouse rooms are secluded from the noise of traffic. The gardens are lush and inviting. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and secure. The bathroom amenities are basic but more than adequate. Our hosts were friendly and very helpful.

Good location, nice and quiet, friendly staff, good breakfast.
The toilet was clean but stained, with bleach they could remove it. The breakfast was nice but it was pretty much the same every day, they only varied a little bit after a few days.

I had a wonderful stay at Geriya House. The family living in the compound is so welcoming and always ready to help, creating a homely and relaxed atmosphere. If you are interested, they are happy to share stories and teach you about Indonesian culture, which makes the experience even more special. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the setting is peaceful while still being close to everything you need. I would highly recommend Geriya House to anyone looking for a genuine and friendly stay in Ubud.
