The best thing about this place was that the beach was only about 50 meters away, so I could easily walk there. I could buy the cheapest juice at the bar right in front of the beach and use the Wi-Fi, get free drinking water, and charge my devices. I could spend the entire day at the beach snorkeling, relaxing, and enjoying the ocean. That was definitely the biggest advantage of staying here.
The biggest downsides were that the place didn’t look like the photos, and the entire property was very old and extremely dirty. The mosquito net was especially filthy, and the bed sheets had a lot of stains on them. That was really disappointing. Another thing I noticed was that the people who checked me in looked at me with very strange facial expressions, which made me feel uncomfortable. But the worst part was the pigsty right next to the accommodation. There was one large pig and five little piglets. The grunting itself wasn’t really a problem, but the smell was so bad that I had to keep the windows tightly closed. The air conditioning also didn’t seem to work very well, even when I ran it all day. On top of that, the roosters started crowing at around 3 a.m. and continued throughout the day. With all that noise, it was almost impossible to get a proper night’s sleep.
