Multiple guests describe the property as pretty clean and the dorm as 'top', but one guest reported no cleaning or towel replacement during their stay, so cleanliness is generally good but inconsistent.
Service is noted as unreliable: reports of no reception, check-in not honored, staff unavailable and no one to resolve issues, which significantly lowers the service score.
Consistently praised: central location in Ubud, close to everything, and quiet (set in an impasse/cul-de-sac).
Rooms are described as comfortable and the dorm with an en-suite is praised; however, some guests experienced being given a different room than booked and limited shared bathroom availability for others.
Breakfast amenities (served at an adjacent bar) are praised, but in-room/basic amenities are lacking for some guests (no soap, no shampoo, no coffee) and bathroom availability can be limited.
Mixed impressions: some guests note other hotels in the area offer similar rates; one guest was asked to pay extra during their stay, producing a moderate value rating.
Breakfast is repeatedly described as great/delicious (served in a neighbouring bar) and is a clear positive across reviews.
Overall a mixed experience: excellent location and strong breakfasts boost the stay, but inconsistent service, occasional lack of cleaning and missing basic amenities reduce the overall satisfaction.

Top floor with city view
Very noisy and the staff overbooked me, had a random guy walk into my bedroom in the middle of the night when I had my naked girlfriend laying in bed with me - we both sleep naked.

Very good location and room with comfortable beds. Breakfast was amazing, can barely believe it is included for the price. Will definitely stay here again.
The hostel is difficult to find from the main road as there are no signs.

Good hostel on one of the main streets of the city, super central area but zero traffic noise or other. Spacious room and comfortable bed. Clean bathroom. Breakfast included in a very nice affiliated bar (good, although not very abundant)
To be picky, there were shampoo and shower gel bottles in the shower, but they were empty, and it would have been nice to have hand soap near the sink. But for the value for money, you can't complain.
