“Unfortunately we did not feel safe”
Great inexpensive breakfast prepared by the villa staff. Spacious bathrooms with outdoor area.
No privacy as villa staff stays all day in an office on the premises only separated by a grill door from where they can hear everything going on in the villa and can have a good look into the bedroom. The villa is only secured by tiny, fragile locks which could be easily be broken. In fact one lock broke by simply pulling too hard. We were told that we don’t need to go through the tedious process of always locking the entrance door with a tiny key using your phone as a flashlight because ‘it’s safe and no one walks in’. Unfortunately, one evening we encountered an intruder inside the dimly lit villa garden. She fled before anything could be stolen. That’s particularly concerning because the living room cannot be locked at all. So we had to move all our belongings out of the living room to a bedroom each time we left the villa. There is not enough light in the garden to make use of the outdoor seating area . No outdoor fans either.
