The layout of the villa itself was nice
The location was terrible with limited options to dine in the area, there is a taxi service with a basic "locals" restaurant across the road that plays loud music every night until at least midnight screaming and yelling at all hours. (Only locals including villa staff) Villas owners decided to renovate the villa next door which meant hammering and saws all day so it was not very relaxing. The villa management themselves forgot to pass on messages as a part of the celebration of my 15th wedding anniversary so therefore arrangements hadn't been done and spoiling what should have been a great surprise. Offering $14 breakfast on a floating basket as compensation- what a joke. I expected to pay a lot more for what I had requested as a surprise and that you advertise you do. The villa itself was dirty heavily stained curtains and grubby walls with parts of the panelling falling off in the shower due to being rotten. We were relocated to another Villa after 3 days, losing a day of our holiday while they decided what to do. This Villa was meant to be like for like, but was only partially air conditioned and even this was not prepared properly. Within five minutes of arrive in we had to request toilet paper and by the evening the villa manager had to attend to try and program the TV which we had decided to watch after an exhausting day dealing with Villa management. It was only after they saw just how we actually were, that they actually offered another fully air-conditioned Villa which would have been like for like as requested like the first one, but it was too late and should have been offered in the first place. We requested a refund of only 50% for the week from hell and were told we would have an answer within 2 days only to have been directed to booking.com. Understand we are really easy going people and I stayed at a 3 star place in Kuta the first week and although basic it ran rings around this place......
