The villa is located on the street where shops, convenience stores and money changers are and also has a restaurant in front of the villa. An easy access to the town centre, just a walking distance from Ubud palace and Ubud water palace. Maria, the villa manager is always happy to help sort out logistics especially for our big family.

Location was good, you were in the hustle and bustle of the market street but couldn’t tell when you were in the Villa.
The bathrooms were quite dark and the sinks seem to drain very slowly, the drain could do with a gunk removal, it created a musty smell in the main bathroom. Incense was provided so we used it and it did the job while using the bathroom. The projector was out of order and looks like it had been for a while, we were keen to a family movie as a treat but couldn’t, again not a big issue but would have been a nice touch. Otherwise the Villa was great. We didn’t meet Maria (the host) and found communication limited in comparison to other Villas. The family at the front of the Villa were always friendly and also very smile. Markets are directly out the front selling lots of lovely items including many sarongs, my youngest daughter accidentally took the one that was on the bed, thinking it was ours (as we purchased some from the market) Maria was quite upset and wanted me to send it back, tried to but if you don’t speak Indonesian it’s tricky, as you have to do it through an App for a motorbike to come and collect it. I offered to pay and apologized for the mistake and she declined for us to pay, finally she said it was a special fabric, after many messages. I asked the Villa manager at our new accommodation in Seminyak, if he could help, which he did and agreed that it’s a tricky process if you don’t know what you’re doing. I found Maria very intense with this interaction and she basically accused us of purposely taking it and saying we didn’t want to pay for postage, If we wanted it, I wouldn’t have responded to her on WhatsApp, when she asked about it. Anyway for this reason I wouldn’t stay there again and I’m sure most wouldn’t have this situation happen. Again the Villa, other staff, and the location was great.

We had a great stay at Villa Ubud Heart who felt like an oasis of tranquility in the craziness that can be Ubud in August. Once you find yourself in the small garden you almost can't believe that you are truly in the heart of Ubud, two steps away from the bazaar and within walking distance to everything. We were a party of 8 so we rented the entire villa, 4 rooms out of which 2 have a shared bathroom (good for families). We spent almost every night sitting in the open living area. There is a kitchen full of utensils, and you can also order breakfast from the restaurant up front. The rooms were different in size (3 with a double bed and one with two single beds) but they are spacious considering the location. Maria, the manager helped us organize some trips and the transfer, she was very nice and quick to answer.
