I stayed for work at JI EXPO. It was an average experience, but it was cheap and convenient to the expo venue by motorcycle taxi for 3000 Rupiah. I think it's good for various events like Java Jazz Festival. There are few places nearby to eat, so you need to go out a bit. Breakfast is a simple buffet, not particularly bad, just average. There also seems to be a free shuttle to JIEXPO, so if the timing is right, it's good to use it.
