The view was superb. The villa layout in general is good. Rara and Rudi are a lovely couple. Friendly. They do what they can to help out. So I hired a motorbike to get around. The Villa is a little remote. So if you want the country experience, this is it.
Not so much what I didn't like except to say the Villa still needs some completion because of Covid. But it all mostly works ok. You get what you pay for and the cost is discounted a lot. So if you're on a budget and want a different experience try Rara Villas.

“Beautiful view, nice host, terrible wifi and facilities need plenty of work.”
Beautiful views over the ocean through to Penida and Bali. Lovely host Rudy who even drove me into town on my first night as there was nowhere within walking distance to eat.
The Wifi didn't work on my phone and even my friend and her daughter could not access it. That was the most disappointing thing! The bathroom is very odd. It is so large but the shower is basically in a bathtub with a handheld shower head. Not the easiest shower. There are 2 large windows in the bathroom with curtains that don't cover the whole windows. Could a Peeping-Tom be watching as you shower?? Watch out girls!!! Also, the bathroom has a mirror but no sink inside. The sink is located outside the bathroom exit in the main living room. There was obviously a TV in the room before but had been removed. A few drill-holes in the main room wall (very thin) which if you peer through you can see what looks to be a garage of some sort. A bit of work needs to be done to lift the overall place as you are obviously paying for the view (which is beautiful).

Aircond wasn't working well during our stay. Asked to change to a different room but it wasn't clean and dusty.

Rudy and his family were really kind, helpful and accommodating. Rudy gave us a great price to drive us around town and to the jetty. His wife cooked us a delicious breakfast.
The villas could use some upgrading with better bedding.
