Good location
Unfortunately, my experience here was very disappointing and I would not recommend this accommodation. The arrival felt extremely impersonal. There was barely any proper check-in process, no manager or owner present, and the staff spoke almost no English, which made communication very difficult. The girl who assisted me was not rude at all, but she clearly had very little information and could not answer basic questions. The location is also quite inconvenient if you have any mobility issues. The property sits down a steep slope with many stairs, and there is very little support or railing in some areas. I would definitely not recommend it for anyone with reduced mobility or heavy luggage. Safety was another concern. The entrance and room did not feel properly secured, and there was no real sense of reception, management or security on site. This was especially uncomfortable as a solo female traveller. The room and facilities were also below expectations. It was not particularly clean, the overall maintenance felt poor, and there was no filtered water refill available, which is something many other accommodations in Bali provide. The noise at night was one of the worst parts. The property is right by a busy road, so scooters and traffic can be heard very clearly. On top of that, the staff/live-in caretakers were talking at night and everything could be heard because of how thin and exposed the accommodation feels. I had a very poor night’s sleep. Breakfast was another major disappointment. Breakfast was advertised as available, but when I asked in the morning, I was told they had run out of everything and could not offer anything at all. If breakfast is advertised, the property should be prepared to provide it. I also asked about renting a scooter and was offered a damaged helmet, which did not inspire confidence in the overall standard of safety or service. Overall, the property felt poorly managed, underprepared and far below what was advertised.
