Nice and pretty property
I stayed at Villa Kalisat in Ubud, Bali, and unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. The property itself is beautiful and the scenery is gorgeous, but the actual stay did not come close to what I would expect from a luxury resort—especially considering I paid approximately $594 USD for my stay. What made this experience even more disappointing is that I am currently staying at another property in Sidemen that cost me only $88, and the difference in comfort, cleanliness, and quality is enormous. The $88 property has significantly better blankets, towels, bedding, and overall comfort. It actually feels clean, comfortable, and luxurious. Villa Kalisat did not. The cleanliness of my room was my biggest concern. The sheets and pillowcases appeared to have mold on them. The bedding itself was extremely uncomfortable, and the blanket was not even a proper full blanket—it felt more like two pieces put together. I could not sleep comfortably and repeatedly woke up throughout the night because I felt so uncomfortable in the bed. I also encountered bugs in the bed, which made me even more uncomfortable. The towels were another major issue. They were gray, extremely worn-looking, and appeared very old and heavily used. For a resort presenting itself as luxurious, I found the condition of the towels embarrassing. I was honestly uncomfortable even using them. Although they were supposedly changed, the replacement towels looked essentially the same. The hot-water kettle/appliance in the room was also visibly dirty. These are basic hygiene issues that I do not expect at a resort charging this kind of price. 🍚 Vegan food was another major problem. I specifically explained that I am vegan and that I do not eat any animal products whatsoever, including eggs, dairy, meat, or seafood. I was assured that vegan options were available. I ordered fried rice, clearly requesting it to be vegan.
