The kitchen needs help, with watery eggs, uncooked pancakes, and you eat the complete from the chicken! Service was great though, very helpful. Charging 350,000 for a taxi for 30 km to Lembar is a robbery; we took a bemo for 30,000 instead. You can swim right off the beach outside, a big plus, and they keep the beach clean. Also, free water refill makes the stay better...

We had such a lovely stay at Thamarind; the staff were so friendly and welcoming, and it was quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was very tasty, and snorkeling directly outside was amazing!

Nice place for two days. The house is pretty, but the facilities are a bit old. The staff is nice but a bit overwhelmed by various problems. The on-site restaurant for evening meals is closed, and for other meals, most of the à la carte dishes are not available. Water leak in the bathroom. We saw a rat in the room, and the receptionist did not offer any other solutions than removing the tea and sugar packets from the room. Finally, we lost a room key, and the reception did not have a spare. They placed a mattress on the floor without a mosquito net in one of the rooms and charged us for changing the lock. Positive points: activities and transfers were well organized, and good breakfast.
