“Hidden gem hotel!”
Stayed for 3 nights in January 2020. Located in the heart of Ubud, within walking distance to Ubud Palace and famous cafes. As the name suggests, most of the facilities are dedicated to the spa, and it seems that only a few rooms on the 3rd floor of the building are available for accommodation. Probably repurposing rooms not used for the spa as accommodation, which might explain why keys were attached to the bathroom and shelf. There is no elevator. The rooms are very clean and equipped with a safety box, refrigerator, complimentary water, TV (no Japanese channels), amenities (shampoo, conditioner, body soap), hairdryer, and slippers. The bathroom is spacious and convenient with a washbasin, toilet, and shower all in one, but no bathtub. The amenities are of a moist type that Japanese people find easy to use, and it was nice to have three types of towels: face towel, hand towel, and bath towel. There are two drying racks, one inside the bathroom and one outside the room, so doing laundry was not a problem. We opted for breakfast included, and the breakfast menu paper in the room allows you to write down what you want to eat and the preferred time (selective) and leave it outside the door. They served breakfast promptly every day at the table in the corridor outside the room, allowing us to enjoy breakfast leisurely while admiring the outside view (had to deal with small ants wandering around while eating lol). Overall, considering the location and room, I think it's a great value for money. Would love to stay here again when I come back to Ubud!
